we have that
x/(x+5)=(x-2)/(x+1)---------- > x*(x+1)=(x-2)*(x+5)- -----> x²+x=x²+5x-2x-10
x²+x=x²+5x-2x-10------- > 2x=10
x=5

the answer is x=5
