The Cold front is a front in which cold air is replacing warm air at the surface.

Whereas, stationary fronts do not move or barely.

stationary fronts do not move at all, and cold fronts is the collision with a warm front. one of the front's movement does not take place and the other front makes a transition with a mass (cold front).
