A segment has endpoints at (15,-11) and (42,-11).How many units long is the segment?

A.57 units.B.27 units.C.26 units.D.22 units.Please help!Thanks!

Hey there,

You have to use this formula :


D= \sqrt{( x_(2) - x_(1))^2 + ( y_(2) - y_(1) )^2 }

D= \sqrt{( 42 - 15 )^2+( -11 + 11 )^2

D= 27

Therefore, the answer would be the option B.
