The area is 125. to find the area of this shape you can split it up into 2 squares and 1 rectangle. To find the area of the squares you do Length x Width. Since the length and width are 5 you do 5 x 5 which gets you 25. 25 is the area of 1 of the 2 squares since the 2 squares have the same side length and width the areas are the same. so the area of these 2 squares are 25. Now onto the rectangle.
the area of a rectangle uses the same formula, Length x Width. The length is 15 and the width is 10-5 which is 5. so now we do 5 x 15 which gets us 75. Now add all the areas together 25+25+75= 125. So the area of this shape is 125.
