Area of triangle = (base*height)/2
120 = (b*15)/2
120*2 = 15b
240 = 15b
15b = 240
b = 240/15
b = 16
The base is 16 inches
As a check
Area = (base*height)/2
Area = (16*15)/2
Area = 240/2
Area = 120
The answer is confirmed
