The correct answer is "A".

The "30 Years War" was a conflict fought in central Europe between 1618 and 1648. The conflict initially started as a fight between numerous Protestant and the Catholic States within the Holy Roman Empire. The conflict would later evolve into a continuation of the France Habsburg rivalry. It is estimated that 8 million people died as a result of this war. The majority of them were civilian inhabitants of the Holy Roman Empire.
