Answer:

We have been given:
y=-x-5

We need to plot x-intercept and y-intercept

For, x-intercept we put y=0 we get:

0=-x-5

x=-5

So, x-intercept is: (-5,0).

For, y-intercept we put x=0 we get:

y=0-5

y=-5

So, y-intercept is: (0,-5).

We need to plot x and y intercepts.

Please look at the attachment for the plot of intercepts.

The y intercept is the y value determined when x = 0
y = -0 - 5
y = - 5
The y intercept is (0,-5)

The x intercept is where y = 0
0 = -x - 5
5= -x
x = - 5
The x intercept is (- 5, 0)
