Who was john locke and why was he important ?

John Locke was one of the most important and influential philosophers ever. The French Enlightenment drew heavily on his ideas, as did the Founding Fathers of the American Revolution. John Locke was born in 1632 into a well-to-do Somerset family.

John was a English philosopher and physician. He was one of the most influential of the Enlightenment thinkers and also known as the "Father of Liberalism". Considered one of the first of the British empiricists, following the tradition of Sir Francis Bacon, he is equally important to social contract theory. that is all i know (i got some help from google on the spelling and nickname lol i hope this helps :D
