The original number is 24
2 x 3 = 6
6 x 4 = 24
or
24 / 4 = 6
6 / 3 = 2

To answer this question I tried all of the answers. First I did 6 divided by 4 which gave me 1.5 then I divided it again by 3, which gave me 0.5. This told me A is not correct. Then I did (B) 12 and I divided by 4, got 3, divided by 3 and got 1. B is not correct. Then I did (C) 18 and divided by 4, got 4.5, then divided by 3 and got 1.5. C is not correct. Then I did (D) 24, divided by 4, got 6, and then divided by 3, and got 2. This Tells me the (D) 24 is correct. ( I tried thirty-six and got 3) So.. The answer is (D) 24. I hope this helps!
