Ben has 2 identical pizzas.

He cuts one pizza equally into 4 large slices.
He then cuts the other pizza equally into 8 small slices.
A large slice weighs 32 grams more than a small slice.
What is the mass of one whole pizza?
please give me the simplest form I am only in year 7!!

Let the weight if a whole pizza be x grams

Then 1/4 of a pizza weighs x/4 grams and one eighth weighs x / 8. The difference is 32 grams so we can make the following equation:-

x/4 - x/8 = 32
x / 8 = 32
Multiplying both sides by 8:-

x = 8*32 = 256

Answer is 256 grams.
