There are 9 cards between 2 and 10 (2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10)
There are 4 suits, so the total number is 36
Now it can be a heart so that adds 4 more (A J Q K)
The total number is now 40 (I'm taking it to mean I have all the possibilities. The or both is taken care of).
40/52 = 10/13 which is pretty good odds.
