The cheese that Ms.Carter used to buy cost $6.00 per pound originally.

After it is marked up 15%, the cheese's per pound price will become:

$6+15% of $6 which can be calculated as:

6+(15)/(100)* 6=6+0.9=6.9 Dollars

Therefore, to buy 2.6 pounds of cheese at this new price of $6.9 per pound, it will cost:

$6.9 per pound
*2.6 pounds=$
(6.9* 2.6)=$17.94
