Hey there!

First of all, we can get rid of that
2 ^(0). Anyting to the power of 0 is equal to one.

Now, we can apply our rule of a power to a power which states that:

(x^(a))^y = x^(ay)

Therefore, since we have two to the fourth raised to the second power, we just multiply the powers to get
2^8
, or C.

Hope this helps!
