tell whether the statement below is sometimes, always, or never true. Justify your reasoning the expression x-3 and y-3 represent the same value

They both equal 3 but x and y is different because if you do x-3=0 and solve for x, x=3, and if you do the same thing for y, y-3=0, y=3, so it is not true I think. I don't know what it means by same value hope this helps.
