Samantha works at an arcade parlor. She has noticed that, although the arcade is full during peak hours, half the game machines are unoccupied during non-peak hours. This leads to losses because the arcade has to sustain the cost of running the utilities. What should Samantha’s arcade parlor do in order to increase demand during non-peak hours?

One solution would be to sell tokens at a reduced price at not-peak hours.
Thus encouraging off - peak use..

In order to increase demand during non-peak hours, Samantha should encourage the users with an option that results in lower cost those who play during those hours.

I thought about selling the tokens at reduced price but that could encourage to purchase the tokens at those hours and reserving them to use later, which is not what Samantha wants. So, I recommend another strategy.

If they can program the games to require less tokens during the non-peak hours it would be a great solution. I recommend this one.

Other ideas to encourage the gamers is to offer free soft drinks during those hours.

It might be that once in a week the parlor offered a contest.

So, offering special discounts or amenities would be a good way to increase demand during the non-peak hours.
