About 98% of the members of Congress report being affiliated with a religion. Of these, 56% (247 in the House and 52 in the Senate) report being Protestant and 31% (136 in the House and 27 in the Senate) report being Catholic. The 113th Congress includes 33 members who are Jewish, 15 who are Mormon, 3 who are Buddhist, 2 who are Muslim, and 1 who is Hindu.
