To Find: inverse of f(x) = 2x + 3

Solution:

Let f(x)=y

⇒y=2x+3

Now replace y by x and x by y

⇒x=2y+3

Now find y

⇒x-3=2y


(x-3)/(2)=y

Thus
f^(-1) (x)=(x-3)/(2)
