Original price = $30
Increase in 50% = 50% of $30 = 0.5 x 30 = $15
Price = 30 + 15 = $45
50% off
50% of $45 = 0.5 x 45 = $22.50
Price = 45 - 22.50 = $22.50
No, the sales price is not $30
