Answer:

a) The archipelago is home to the richest fishing grounds in China

Step-by-step explanation:

Zhoushan Archipelago is an archipelago located just off the coast of China, or more specifically in the eastern part of Chine, right next to Zhejiang province. This archipelago has had very important role for China for a very long time now, and it has had numerous different purposes over the course of the history.

Nowadays, the archipelago is very important mostly because of its very rich fishing grounds, in fact the richest fishing grounds of China. The water is shallow around Zhoushan, and it is very rich in nutrients which are brought by the Yangtze River. This has created excellent conditions for the fish to thrive, so there is enormous amounts of fish around the islands, as well as multiple commercial sea plants.

Another important hing for this archipelago is that it has very good climate and very rich soils. This has led to the islands to be heavily used for farming of rice, and apart from producing high quality rice, there is also two yields per year, not one as in the rest of China.
