The area known as the "Ring of Fire" earn its nickname as it is associated with volcanic and tectonic activity.

Answer: Option D

Explanation:

Volcanic action happens at two kinds of plate limits: subduction zones and mid-sea edges. At mid-sea edges, basaltic emissions cause new ocean bottom hull. Whereas, tectonic activity (quakes, volcanoes, and mountain working all in all) is basic at plate limits, where the edges of (at least two) plates are in contact along tremendous direct zones of blaming.

Plate tectonics is the investigation of these crustal sections, and how they interface at their edges. In general, the areas from Pacific Ocean covers more than 90% of world’s earthquake and 75% of volcanoes.

This is termed as ‘Ring of Fire’ and countries like Pacific islands and Japan are at higher risks by earthquakes. The movement leads to epicenters of deep ocean ditches, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes along the walls where the plates meet, called fault lines.
