1. 4i x -10i = -40ii

ii = i^2 = -1

-40*-1 = 40

2. -6-9 = -15

5i- - 5i = 5i + 5i = 10i

answer = -15 +10i

3. raise both sides to the 3rd, and solve for x. x = -12
