Frequency represents the number of complete oscillations or vibrations per unit time (seconds). When the frequency of a given external force applied to a system matches the natural frequency of vibration of the system results to a large amplitude of vibration a phenomenon called Resonance. The frequency at which the resultant amplitude is relative maximum is known as the resonance frequency or the system's resonant frequencies.
