The cost c (in dollars) for the fuel and maintenance of a go-cart is given by c = 15x + 760, where x is the number of rides. It costs $35 per ride. How many rides does it take to break even?

x is the number or rides.
total earnings from rides = 35x

To breakeven:
15x + 760 = 35x
35x - 15x = 760
20x = 760
x = 38
It takes 38 rides to break even.
