Pretend you have a job building tricycles. If you had 100 handle bars, 150 wheels, and 75 seats. How many pedals would you need in order to make $50.00? Assume that every tricycle sells for $4.00.

B) 26

This is because for every tricycle, there are 2 pedals. To find the amount of pedals you need for every tricycle, first find the amount of tricycles that have to be built to make 50 dollars.

50 / 4 = 12.5

Round this number to 13 because you cannot have half of a tricycle.

Now multiply 13 by 2 to find the total amount of pedals needed for 13 tricycles.

13 x 2 = 26

You will need 26 pedals to make 50 dollars.

Hello, first you look at the number of tricycle you need to sell in order to make $50.00. This would be
50/4=12.5 tricycles. We round this up to 13 since we do not have half a tricycle.

Knowing this, you won't actually need all the other given parts since you only need to know that you need 2 pedals to make a tricycle. Multiply these pedals by 13 you'll get:
2*13=26.

ANSWER: B. You would need 26 pedals in order to make $50.00
