Which underlined verb is in the past progressive tense? A. I was watching a TV program about the Statue of Liberty last night. B. I am watching a TV program about the Statue of Liberty now. C. A. I was watching a TV program about the Statue of Liberty last night.

Past progressive tense is similar to past tense in that the event is in the past. Past tense, as you may know, is used to mention something that did happen. The main difference between past progressive and past tense is that while past tense mentions something that did happen, past progressive will be used to mention something that was in the process of being done. There will typically be the linking verb “was,” and that will be accompanied with a verb that ends in “ing” as in “was watching.”

From what I understand of progressive past tense I think that the answer is A but it could be C. I would go with one of the two.
