Both 2 and 3 would have been applicable for citizenship but 3 more than 2

Answer: III. A white, landowning male farmer

Explanation: As per the early citizenship requirements of the United States only white men could vote or be the citizens. It was so because to become a citizen, a person should be able to pay taxes and own a piece of land. Hence, female members of the family such as sisters, mothers or wives, and slaves or servants were not eligible for citizenship, as back then they didn“t have land in their names in the continental US.
