I NEED HELP PLS, I'M KINDA BAD AT THIS STUFF PLS HALP

Why does a black brick possess more thermal energy than a white brick of the same size and material? At a minimum your answer should reference absorption.

Answer:

As stated in the previous answer, black absorbs heat better than white. Dark colors absorb a lot more heat than lighter ones because they absorb more light energy. This is due to their inability to reflect a large amount of energy. They reflect little solar heat and are hotter than light colors. These colors reflect solar and heat waves best due to their brightness.
