do rise over run, the rise is 2 and the run is 5 therefore 2/5 but because the slope is downwards it will be minus 2/5

Rise over run,
How many squares up until you get to the same level as the next point
That is your rise (top number)
Then count how many squares across til you are right on the point
That is your run (bottom number)
Remember that if it is going down or to the left it will be negative
