The unions now have one thing in common. The majority of unions and the majority of members get their featherbedded fat deals courtesy of forcefully extorted taxpayers.Unions are dependent on the very central tenets of communism - confiscation of private wealth, and compulsory participation. Even in the public sector unions, there are ominous clouds on the horizon for the union thugs.

Many strikes that were led by the labor unions had several acts of violence, some that were started by the union members some that were just a response to acts of violence led by employers. The employers started to picture union members as extremists that only wanted more money from employers. Most of the time, the union members were linked to socialists and the Soviet Union.
