We can answer the question by looking at Newton's second law:

F=ma
or, equivalently,

a= (F)/(m)
where a is the acceleration given to an object of mass m, to which is applied a force F.

So:
1) When the force F is large, the acceleration of the object is large. When the force is small, the acceleration will be small.
2) On the contrary, when the object has a large mass m, the acceleration will be small. When the mass of the object is small, the acceleration will be larger.
