Subtitute x in the function with -2,-1,0,1,2 to find the range
f(x) = 3x - 8

f(-2) = 3(-2) - 8
f(-2) = -6 - 8
f(-2) = -14

f(-1) = 3(-1) - 8
f(-1) = -3 - 8
f(-1) = -11

f(0) = 3(0) - 8
f(0) = 0 - 8
f(0) = -8

f(1) = 3(1) - 8
f(1) = 3 - 8
f(1) = -5

f(2) = 3(2) - 8
f(2) = 6 - 8
f(2) = -2

The range of the function
f(x) = {-14, -11, -8, -5, -2}
