Solution:

we are given that

At the market, Ms. Winn bought 3/4 lb of grapes and 5/8 lb of cherries.

we have been asked to find

How many ounces of grapes did Ms. Winn buy?

As we know that
1 \ lb=16 \ Ounce

So we can write

(3)/(4) \ lb=(3)/(4)*16 \ Ounce\\\\ (3)/(4) \ lb=3*4 \ Ounce\\\\ (3)/(4) \ lb=12 \ Ounce\\

12 ounces of grapes Ms. Winn bougt.
