y=2x+3 (equation 1)
3x-5y=6 (equation 2)

Sub equation 1 into equation 2

3x-5(2x+3)=6
3x-10x-15=6
3x-10x=6+15
-7x=21
x=-3

Sub x=-3 into equation 1
y=2(-3)+3
y=-6+3
y=-3

I believe there is only one solution: y and x both equal -3.
