Sales tax is money you pay when you buy stuff from a store. The sales tax is used to help pay salaries of police officers. I hope this helped.

I think it means the tax on the product. Example: 5 dollars for a scrunchie. If the sales tax is 2% what is the total. The total would be 0.1.
