A 8.00 kg rock falls from a height of 20.0 meters. Determine the momentum of the rock right before it hits the ground. (4 points)

by energy conservation you can obtain the velocity as the potential energy will be converted into the kinetic energy
1/2mv^2 = mgh
v^2 = 2gh
v^2 = 2*10*20
V = 20 m/s
thus momentum is equal to mv = 8*20 = 160 kgm/s
