D = √(y2-y1)^2 + (x2-x1)^2

a) D = √(-7-9)^2 + (-7-5)^2

D = √256 + 144

D = √400

D = 20

b) D = √(10-8)^2 + (9-2)^2

D = √(2)^2 + 6^2

D = √4 + 36)

D = √40

D = 2 √10 units

c) D = √(1 + 7)^2 + (-8+10)^2

D = √(64 + 4)

D = √68

D = 2 √17 units
