Hello Jessica!

Here's a little tip: Cancel out all of the options that do not have a line crossing the y-axis at positive 4 and a line crossing the y-axis at negative 3. That should narrow down the possible answer choices significantly.

Also take two points, and use the formula
(y^2 - y^1)/(x^2 - x^1) to find out the slope. If both of the lines slope are not 4 (hence m = 4 in the equation), then those are not the correct answers.

Using both of these tactics, you can solve the problem without visible graphing calculator.

Answer:

Refer the attached figure.

Explanation:

Given : System of equation
y=4x+4,\ y=4x-3

To find : Which graph represents the solution to the given system?

Solution :

Equation
y=4x+4 plotted with a red line passing through (-1,0) and(0,4).

Equation
y=4x-3 plotted with a blue line passing through (0,-3) and(0.75,0).

As their slopes are equal i.e. m=4.

So, the equation of lines are parallel.

There is no solution of the equations.

Refer the attached figure of the equations.
