HELP!!!! URGENT!!!

Milk is sold in either 600 mL or 1 L cartons. A supermarket manager ordered 79.8 liters of milk and received 93 cartons. How many of each size carton did the manager receive?

Answer:

60 1l cartons and 33 600ml cartons

Explanation:

if all the 93 cartons were 600ml it would equal to 55800ml or 55.8l that means 24l are missing

the difference between 600ml and 1l is 400ml so 24l รท 400ml = 60

so 60 1l cartons and 33 600ml cartons

Explanation:

Assume that all 93 cartons were 600mL.

Volume of milk = 93 * 0.6L = 55.8L

Difference between Actual and Total

= 79.8L - 55.8L = 24.0L

For every 600mL carton that becomes 1L,

the volume of milk will increase by 0.4L.

=> 24.0L / 0.4L = 60

Hence there were 60 1L cartons and 93 - 60 = 33 600mL cartons of milk.
