I think answer is C. When you search it up on google it says no one had enough evidence and that Wegener could not provide an explanation as to what force and how force pushes and pulls the continents.

The correct answer is C. No one coud provide a good explanation for how huge continents could have moved across the earth's surface.

Step-by-step explanation

The continental drift theory is a geological theory developed by Alfred Wegener in the early twentieth century. In it, this German geologist proposed that the shape of the continents could fit together like pieces of a puzzle and formed a single continent, indicating that over time they moved to form the continents as we know. Additionally, he found that some fossils from the northern continents were equal and came from the same geological ages. However, many geologists of the time rejected this theory because Wegener did not propose a mechanism to explain this movement of the continents, and therefore it was difficult to believe these huge masses could move. So, the correct answer is C. No one coud provide a good explanation for how huge continents could have moved across the earth's surface.
