suppose that a new high school opens next to a popuilar fast food restaurant. what will happend to the derived demand for chefs at the restaurant ?

Derived demand refers to the demand for a specific product or a commodity.
In the situation above, the derived demands would most likely be increased.

The opening of new school near the restaurant would increase the number of consumers in that restaurant, and majority of them would be students.

Which means that the number of derived demand probably only to revolved around cheap products that could be afforded by students.
