I've recognized two statements that are true about the Pilgrims' settlement. The first one is definitely the second option from the scale - The Pilgrims elected a governor prior to settling on the new land as they wanted to separate from Massachusetts Bay colony and create independent governing body. The second answer is the last option - Squanto's reluctance to help the Pilgrims contributed to the decline of the Plymouth Colony that caused a big failure in plan of being totally separate.
