We have,

We need to find the value of
(f\circ g)(1).


(f\circ g)(1)=f(g(1))
[\because (f\circ g)(x)=f(g(x))]


(f\circ g)(1)=f(√(1))
[\because g(x)=√(x)]


(f\circ g)(1)=f(1)


(f\circ g)(1)=(1)^2-1
[\because f(x)=x^2-1]


(f\circ g)(1)=1-1
