Gravitational potential energy is dependent by the height which the object is raised and the mass. The higher the height of an object is raised the greater the gravitational potential energy.

The formula for gravitational potential energy is as follows ;

P.E = mass × height × gravitational field strength(9.8N/kg)

P.E = mgh

m = 100 kg

height = 25 meters

g = 9.8 N/kg

P.E = 100 × 9.8 × 25

P.E = 24500
