Civil case: It starts when an individual or element, called the offended party, asserts that someone else or substance has neglected to complete a legitimate obligation owed to the offended party.

Both the offended party and the respondent are likewise alluded to as "gatherings" or "prosecutors." The offended party may request that the court advise the litigant to satisfy the obligation, or make up for the damage done, or both.

Criminal case: An individual blamed for a crime is commonly charged in a formal allegation called plaintiff or data.
