We are given

tangent line as

LK=36

we have

LM=27

LN=LM+MN

LN=27-3+3x

LN=3x+24

now, we can use formula

LK^2=LM*LN

now, we can plug values

36^2=27*(3x+24)

now, we can solve for x

step-1: Divide both sides by 27

(36^2)/(27) =3x+24

3x+24=48

step-2: Subtract both sides by 24

3x+24-24=48-24

3x=24

step-3: Divide both sides by 3

(3x)/(3) =(24)/(3)

x=8

Calculation of MN:

We know that

MN=-3+3x

now, we can plug x=8

MN=-3+3*8

MN=21....................Answer
