We can use Pythagorean Theorem which states that a^2 + b^2 = c^2 in a right triangle where a and b are the legs and c is the hypotenuse.

12^2 + b^2 = 37^2

b^2 = 37^2 - 12^2

b^2 = 1225

b = sqrt(1225)

b = 35

The other leg is 35 mm.
