Your best option for this particular problem is to use elimination method.
-x + 2y = -6
3x + 2y = 2
Multiply the top equation by -1.
x - 2y = 6
3x + 2y = 2
Add both equations together.
4x = 8
Divide by 4.
x = 2
Now plug in x into one equation of your choice.
3(2) + 2y = 2
6 + 2y = 2
Subtract 6 from both sides to isolate the variable.
2y = -4
Divide by 2.
y = -2
So your solution is (2,-2)
This is what it would look like in a graph below↓
I hope this helps love! :)
