What is the axis of symmetry?

f(x)=2x^{2} -2x+6[/tex]

For the expression
.. ax^2 +bx +c
The line of symmetry is
.. x = -b/(2a)
Here, that is
.. x = -(-2)/(2*2) = 1/2

The axis of symmetry is x = 1/2.
