The Yugoslavia´s civil war was a magnificient replay of the 1912-14 Balkan wars: Religion-Muslin, Roman Catholic. Orthodox factions, Cultural Germanic ( Slovenia-Croat) vs South Slave vs Albanian, political Servian Vs everybody else.

There is a point of view about this subject that says: The advisers of president Bush felt that military action in the former Yugoslavia would more likely resemble the morass of vietnan rather tha the succes of teh persian Gulf War. It would be an un- resolved conflict.
