41 because if you separate the parts the square and the triangle then you would have a square that is 16 sq in diameter and a triangle that is 25sq in diameter

=
(1)/(2) × ( BC + DE) × ( AE - CD )

=

=
(50)/(2) = 25.0 unit²

Area of rectangle = length × width

= DE × CD

= 4 × 4

= 16 unit²

Total area of the figure = 25 + 16 = 41 unit²
